Ingredients
- 1 ml (1/4 tsp) cinnamon
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) brown sugar
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) cornstarch
- 4 McIntosh apples, peeled and diced
- 375 ml (1 ½ cups) diced rhubarb*
- 375 ml (1 ½ cups) quick-cooking oats
- 180 ml (3/4 cup) brown sugar
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/2 pack (190 g) Oka Apple cheese, grated
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) melted butter
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the cinnamon, 30 ml (2 tbsp) of brown sugar, and cornstarch.
- Add the fruit, toss to coat well, and transfer to a 23 cm (9 in) square or round oven-safe baking dish.
- Reuse the large bowl to combine oats, brown sugar, flour, and grated cheese. Add the melted butter, mix well, and spread over the fruit. Press down lightly.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until the fruit is tender and the topping is golden brown.
- Serve warm or cold.
